I've read other reviews that are critical, but I thought this screen worked perfectly and was well thought out. I'm able to handle it myself, it's easy to set up and break down and it works great for in-home and professional use. I did a video for clients who were very happy with the result. I had company at home who set this up as a big-screen TV. If you need a wide aspect ratio, don't pull it down all the way. If you're doing 4:3, then go ahead and use all the screen's real estate. All in all, I think it's great value for the money. It arrived quickly as well. Now, I'd just like to find a cover for it.

Great for the price with 2 minor flaws., February 7, 2012

It's an excellent size, and the quality is good(not that I have anything else to compare it to). I'm very satisfied with it, I gave it 4 stars because it's not perfectly flatten straight out of the box. Not sure if there's a trick to it or not but after owning it for a week the screen is still slightly off. Oh, and it didn't come with any mounting hardware, so you'll need to buy S hooks or whatever you plan on using to mount it. I would definely recommend it to a friend.

Surprisingly solid, March 16, 2012

I bought the Elite 120" screen after I rearranged some furniture in my living room to maximize space. With the new arrangement, all of my furniture is now facing a window, meaning that I could no longer project onto my wall. This is my first screen, so I have no real comparison, but for a first time buyer, I was initially impressed.

Packaging - I read the horror stories about how the packaging was below average and that many people had to return the item because it was damaged on arrival. Thankfully, it looks like the manufacturers have listened as my item came well packaged and in great condition.

Functionality - The screen has a lock position about every 5 inches, making it easy to extend as little or as much as you want, but I can't imagine the average user to use anything other than the last two locks.

Visual - My only grip was that I wished the casing material came in a different color. I have white walls and the unit casing is black. Not a big deal, but if a white version was available, it would blend in better with my walls.

Performance - I had read that having a screen would increase the video quality (I have a Epson 8350 1080p projector and have source material at 1080p). Using the screen, I cannot tell the difference between the color quality with projecting onto my wall and onto the screen. Maybe I had my hopes set up too high, but I was expecting a bigger difference. However, for this price, how much can you really expect?

Quality - The screen seems very durable and the screen goes up and down very well. I've read that the retraction device is on the weak side and is prone to breaking, but it seems solid to me. Only time will tell. I will update if anything should happen to the screen.

For my needs, this product was a great fit as the material on the back is a heavy black matte material. Putting the screen in front of my window, it blacks out the light from behind it, which saved me a set of blackout curtains that I had to buy.

The only con that I can think of is the slight wrinkle that is associated with the screen right when you open it. It is a bit wavy in the middle for me, but give it about a hour and you won't be able to see it anymore. Even with the wrinkle, I would definitely buy again and rate this product an overall great buy.

ELITE OR FAVI SCREEN, February 22, 2012

So the question to the answer is ELITE hands down. I am happy to say that i love this screen. i have the 125 spectrum electric and it is awesome. Love the the black casing.looks very home theater like, and looks fantastic in my theater room. FAVI white just did not do it for me. White casing was distracting and stuck out like a sore thumb. After trying two FAVI screens and receving them defective, i gave up and went with the ELITE. Right out the box it was perfect. operated as advertised. Left the screen down for a week and as the manual states, all waves, rolls or lines went away. Was not really any of that really. 125" of glory. Avatar actually looked better on the ELITE than the FAVI, even though the FAVI has a 1.3 gain and the elite has a 1.1 gain. 1.1 gain had no lose at all in brightness so dont give into the gimmick. The electric lowering of the screen compared to the FAVI is whisper quiet. FAVI was noisy and when retracted near the end gave a loud shreak going into casing as is it was too tight and had no more space. ELITE has a 12 volt trigger, FAVI does not. In order to receive the RF remote, you have to purchase one which is not a big deal to me since I sit on the couch and point it directly to the screen. The 12 volt trigger will take care of that anyway.

ELITE is a clear winner and the price point is perfect and well worth the money. FAVI and ELITE price are about the same. Now u may receive defective screen with ELITE but I would return it second time and the odds are you will get a perfect one since ELITE has a well built, quality screen compared to FAVI.

Hopes this helps those who are on the fence. Buy it and you wont regret it.

This screen is just the right size for a power point in a medium size room. It has a good handle for carrying. The only thing I miss is that my old screen had a cardboard box that the whole thing slid into for safe keeping. This one does not and so will pick up basement dirt and cobwebs etc while in storage.

Forget the Blow ups or Tripods for outdoor use / Camp Chef is the one!!, February 26, 2012

My husband and I read many reviews about Blow ups, Tripod Screens and all about purchasing material and building your own screen. After all said and done we finally decided to purchase the Camp Chef 120". We are glad we did!! The unit came packaged in a nice looking and very strong carrying bag. My husband who is 5'4" took the pieces out of the bag and had the screen assembled in approx. 20 minutes. The on-line Video that we looked at when doing our reviews showed us what to do and the instruction sheet that came with the screen has a sketch that made assembly very easy. My husband did not have any problem putting the screen on the frame by himself. He moved back and forth between the legs, pulling down approx. 1 ft of the screen material at a time. We played our first movie last night and everyone was impressed (we are in Treasure Island, Florida). Setup looked very professional. The bag, screen, and all the pieces are of excellent quality. We could see a lot of thought was put into he design and packaging. We don't know how you could ask for more. This is a movie screen you will be proud of. We purchased this on Amazon and will use Amazon again when we need another quality product from trusted suppliers. In fact, we might be purchasing another one of these screens very soon for use in our Condo for "Saturday Night at the Movies". Kudos to both Camp Chef and Amazon!!

I've read other reviews that are critical, but I thought this screen worked perfectly and was well thought out. I'm able to handle it myself, it's easy to set up and break down and it works great for in-home and professional use. I did a video for clients who were very happy with the result. I had company at home who set this up as a big-screen TV. If you need a wide aspect ratio, don't pull it down all the way. If you're doing 4:3, then go ahead and use all the screen's real estate. All in all, I think it's great value for the money. It arrived quickly as well. Now, I'd just like to find a cover for it.

Woohooo! This thing is absolutely perfect. It opens in 2 seconds - the you just pull it open, then flip open the little feet at the base and BANG you're in business. Stands up on a table or whatever (it does not have a tripod and you don't hang it on a wall, it's made to stand on a table). Has a nice bright white screen for clear crisp projection image. It folds up just as easy (zips closed like a window shade). Finally a product that does what it's advertised to do. Very cool.
